GoogleHahaha I can’t believe ppl go in this swamp. Gross. I’ve lived here since a kid and this is not a nice hot spring. Super gross
A short lakeside walk leads to one of Harrison’s most intriguing wellness stops, where guests can watch steam drift up from the geothermal source and feel the heat rising from the shoreline. The air carries the sharp mineral scent that comes with real hot springs, and for many visitors that unmistakable sulfur note is part of the experience. Small runoff pools invite a quick foot soak, and the temperature shift from warm edges to near-scalding water makes the visit feel like a simple, natural contrast-therapy ritual. With lake and mountain views unfolding around the path, it is as much a scenic pause as a soak, especially at sunrise, sunset, or on cold winter days when the steam looks even more dramatic. What makes the setting memorable is its raw, unpolished character: bubbling water, rocky edges, quiet trails nearby, and a sense of discovering the hot springs at their origin rather than inside a resort spa. Visitors appreciate how easy it is to pair with a downtown stroll or a longer lakeside wander, though some note that upkeep and access can be uneven at times. Even so, the combination of geothermal heat, open-air scenery, and restorative stillness gives this spot a distinct sense of place for couples, walkers, and wellness travelers alike. Best suited for up to 10 guests.
“A very interesting place for learning about the geothermal energy and the origins of the Hot Springs I had my thermal camera there and I noticed that there are two small pools on the lake shore and also there is warm water flowing on a wide area all the way into the lake waters. The water appeared to be boiling due to the gasses that makes it bubble, but it was about 60celsius, maybe my camera measured the steam temperature, but it is hot enough to cause burns to the too curious ones.”
Guests consistently find Harrison Hot Springs Source memorable for its raw geothermal heat, lakeside scenery, and easy access, even as smell, barriers, and upkeep issues temper the experience.
