GoogleFantastic massage! Really kind and gracious staff. Very accommodating and great hosts.
From the moment you step into this Japanese-inspired hideaway in Vancouver, the pace softens. Warm towels, tea service, quiet music, and minimalist rooms set a ritualized tone that feels more like a restorative escape than a routine appointment. Therapists are known for reading the body carefully, adjusting pressure, and working steadily into knots, shoulders, neck, and back until the treatment feels personal rather than prescribed. The mountain and skyline views add a rare sense of openness, turning each private room into a calm perch above the city. Kiku Wellness Japanese Zen Spa is especially appealing for couples, birthday celebrations, and anniversary getaways, but solo guests also come for the deep sleepiness and lingering ease it can create. Signature touches such as yukata robes, matcha or yuzu tea, and thoughtful aftercare lend the experience a ceremonial charm, while heated beds and hot stone work make it feel cocooned in every season. The result is a polished, good-value wellness retreat with a distinctly Vancouver outlook and a quiet, memorable sense of place.
“I had a truly wonderful experience at Kiku Wellness Japanese Zen Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt calm and welcomed. The space is beautifully designed—minimal, elegant, and deeply serene. Every detail contributes to a tranquil atmosphere that helps you slow down right away. My massage therapist, Hachi, was exceptional. She was professional, attentive, and highly skilled. Her technique felt both intuitive and precise—she knew exactly where to focus and consistently checked in to ensure my comfort. I left feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and genuinely cared for. Kiku Wellness offers more than just a massage—it’s a thoughtfully curated experience rooted in calm, professionalism, and mindfulness. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to truly unwind and reset. I’ll definitely…”
Guests overwhelmingly describe Kiku Wellness as a serene, Japanese-inspired hidden gem with exceptional personalized service, memorable couple experiences, and standout views, with only occasional criticism of facial technique or intensity.

GoogleMy partner and I had the Couple’s Valentine’s Day massage at Kiku and it was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had together. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, clean, and incredibly relaxing — perfect for a special occasion. Rika and Yuka did an amazing job. They were both attentive, professional, and clearly very skilled. They checked in about pressure and comfort throughout the session, which made the massage feel personalized rather than routine. Every movement felt intentional and soothing, and we both left feeling completely refreshed and stress-free. The ambiance, the service, and the overall care made this the perfect Valentine’s treat. Highly recommend for couples looking to unwind and share a peaceful, memorable experience together. We’ll definitely be coming back!

GoogleI have visited spas around the world, including many in Vancouver, and I am always searching for experiences comparable to those in Southeast and East Asia. Unfortunately, I have yet to find an exact equivalent locally. After reading both positive and negative reviews, I decided to give this spa a try. Regrettably, the negative reviews reflected my experience. Paying over $260, including tip, did not feel justified for the level of service provided. I booked the KIKU Relax – Japanese Aromatherapy Massage (120 minutes) with Mai. Pros: The environment was acceptable, and the treatment was conducted in a private room, which provided a sense of privacy. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Cons: As mentioned in several reviews, there were significant temperature issues. Throughout the massage, the therapist’s hands were consistently freezing. The only elements that provided warmth were the heated oil and hot towels which made the massage tolerable. Overall, I remained cold because the bedding and her hands were cold, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the treatment. Additionally, while the massage itself was adequate, the technique did not meet the level expected from a premium Japanese aromatherapy service. There also appeared to be a lack of coordination among staff. I had expected tea to be prepared for me afterward because my masseuse asked me what type of tea I wanted, but when I went out the receptionist had to ask again which tea I wanted, suggesting the information had not been communicated properly. As someone who frequently visits luxury spas, this lack of attention to detail and hospitality was disappointing. Conclusion: Based on my experience and consistent with other reviews, the spa does not meet the standards typically associated with authentic Japanese hospitality or high-end Eastern massage services that I have personally experienced. The overall experience did not align with the premium pricing. To say the least I got more of a headache after the massage than feeling relaxed. Who this would be suitable for? : This spa may be suitable for individuals who are new to spa treatments, are not specifically seeking an authentic Japanese standard experience, or are simply looking for a basic massage in a private and quiet setting. However, those who are FAMILIAR with luxury spas or authentic East Asian massage standards may find the experience underwhelming relative to the price. Also it would be better to spend your money elsewhere if you want the luxury and hospitable experience. As some other person had mentioned in their review, it is a Temu version to the real thing 😭
