Tucked deep in the Fraser Valley wilderness, this hot spring feels less like a quick escape and more like a reward earned by effort. Reaching the pools is part of the story, with a route that can involve boat access across Pitt Lake, a long ride or hike through forest road country, and a final rope-assisted descent that turns the visit into a true backcountry adventure. That remoteness is exactly what guests love most: the quiet, the sense of being far from crowds, and the feeling of discovering a hidden place that still belongs to the wild. Around you, mountain walls, waterfalls, and lake views create a striking natural backdrop, while the raw, undeveloped setting keeps the experience elemental and memorable. The soak itself is intimate and restorative, with stone-lined pools that hold warmth against the cool air and flowing river below. Visitors consistently describe the experience as beautiful, peaceful, and absolutely worth the journey, especially for those who appreciate rugged nature over polished amenities. It is the kind of place where the scenery becomes part of the wellness ritual, and where even the possibility of a bear sighting adds to the backcountry atmosphere. Best suited to adventurous couples, small friend groups, and wilderness seekers, this is an off-grid soak designed for just 10 guests.
“Stars finally aligned to bag this hotsprings, weather, water level, boat ride and a team of bikers willing to bike 40km RT. The boat ride is about 40km RT and takes 40min each way, where ~20km bike ride took just under 2 hrs going there. The FSR condition is pretty good and uphills starts around 15km point. Pitt Lake is very scenic with multiple water falls high and low along the mountain side. There's no facilities on the site and requires rappelling down to the pools.”
Guests overwhelmingly view Pitt River Hot Springs as a hard-to-reach but magical wilderness soak that rewards the effort with seclusion, scenery, and a true off-grid experience.
