About this spa
Set in the Kootenays where forested slopes rise around mineral-rich water, this creekside retreat feels less like a stopover and more like a reset button. Guests come for the quiet, but stay for the way the place makes relaxation feel effortless: a clean, carefully maintained setting, warm and attentive staff, and a landscape that does most of the calming for you. The outdoor pools, mountain views, and surrounding woodland create a sense of shelter from the rest of the world, while the hot-and-cool soaking options and cold shower invite a simple thermal circuit that leaves tired bodies feeling revived.
There is a distinct hidden-gem quality here, strengthened by thoughtful details such as fresh change rooms, soothing music, and the option to pair a soak with a hike right from the property. Reviewers consistently describe the experience as tranquil, restorative, and beautifully cared for, whether they are here for a day pass, a romantic escape, or a longer stay in a chalet, RV site, or tenting spot. With a Wellness Score of 77, Nakusp Hot Springs delivers accessible luxury in a setting that feels deeply rooted in nature, all within an intimate capacity of just 10 guests.

“Lovely hot springs in the mountains, great views all around when you are in the hot springs. I did find myself wishing there was a cold pool to cool off between dips in the springs, especially as the day was warming up. Loved the walk to the historic source, which has recently been board-walked in several spots. Stunning mossy forest!”
Guests overwhelmingly rate Nakusp Hot Springs as a magical, exceptionally well-maintained wellness retreat where warm staff, pristine facilities, and stunning mountain nature combine to create transformative escapes—described by one couple as 'one of the best vacations ever.'

My experience was perfect. The service was great. Me and the wife stopped by on our way home to the okanagan. The scenery around here set the mood. It’s a beautiful place. Great price! The water was amazing. I really enjoy that they list the minerals in the water. Lots of hiking in the area. It’s a gem for sure.

Didn't stay here but the pools are great. Much quieter than the other nearby spring.
